Damiano Gentile, PhD Student in Applied Clinical Research, Adjunct Professor, Adjunct Clinical and Teaching Professor of Breast Surgery at Humanitas University , shared on LinkedIn:
“Pleased to share our latest publication in Cancers MDPI. Drawing on 467 patients from 49 breast centers, this study provides further observational evidence supporting breast-conserving surgery in patients who achieve pCR after neoadjuvant therapy.
This publication is the result of a valuable international collaboration. My sincere thanks to EUSOMA – the European Society of Breast Cancer Specialist – and the EUSOMA Working Group for making this research possible through their shared database and commitment to quality breast cancer care.
Thank you to all my co-authors and the teams at the participating breast units for their expertise, time, and contributions. Working together across institutions and countries allows us to address clinical questions that no single center could answer alone.
An important shared goal: tailoring the extent of surgery to each patient while maintaining oncological safety.”
