City Cancer Challenge (C/Can) shared on LinkedIn:
“The Guide on How to Implement the Global Breast Cancer Initiative in Practice is now available.
Cali, Kumasi, Phnom Penh, and Tbilisi each turned WHO’s framework into a Breast Cancer Action Plan owned by local health authorities, clinicians, and communities. Together with local stakeholders, the partnership has so far:
reached 81,859 female cancer patients
trained more than 300 primary care providers and 150 oncology professionals
engaged 60 institutions
This guide captures the method behind that work so other cities and countries can adapt it. Developed by C/Can with technical input from WHO, it is a practical tool to help close the breast cancer implementation gap, written for the people who plan and run breast cancer services.
