Can Global Partnerships Help Expand Access to Cancer Care? – City Cancer Challenge

City Cancer Challenge (C/Can) shared on LinkedIn:

“C/Can’s CEO, Isabel Mestres, and Head of Global Public Affairs, Harold Cottin, sat down with Hiroyuki Okuzawa, Representative Director, President and CEO of Daiichi Sankyo Company, Limited, in Berlin to discuss our partnership and shared ambition to improve access to cancer care in low and middle-income countries.

Over the next three years, our partnership will help cities put the WHO Global Breast Cancer Initiative into practice, strengthening health systems so more women receive timely diagnosis and treatment.

Our discussion quickly highlighted a shared ambition: to create lasting improvements for patients by strengthening local cancer care systems. We explored how to advance this together, building on the discussions taking place between our respective teams in Brazil, Mexico and Colombia and opportunities being considered in Asia.

Michiko Harada and Shinichiro Awamura have been instrumental in bringing our teams together and turning shared priorities into opportunities for collaboration.

Where you live shouldn’t decide the care you get. Thank you to Daiichi Sankyo for your support, we look forward to advancing this shared ambition together.”
