Aydah AlAwadhi: The Promise and Challenges of MRI-Guided Treatment De-escalation in Breast Cancer

Aydah AlAwadhi, Consultant Medical Oncologist and Division Chair of Hematology and Oncology Department at Sheikh Shakbout Medical City, Abu Dhabi, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Publication Alert

Proud to share our latest editorial commentary, co-authored with Professor Kefah Mokbel, on TRAIN-3 trial, published in Translational Breast Cancer Research.

In our editorial, we discuss both the promise and the challenges of MRI-guided treatment de-escalation. We emphasize that while these findings represent an important step toward personalized care, imaging alone may not be sufficient. The future lies in integrating tumor biology, imaging, and molecular biomarkers such as ctDNA to safely identify patients who can receive less treatment without compromising outcomes.

Thanks Prof. Kefah for your support!”
