Amol Akhade and Ben Creelan: DeLLphi-305 Opens a New Chapter in ES-SCLC Maintenance Therapy

Amol Akhade, Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist and Hemato-Oncologist at Fortis Hospitals Mumbai, shared on X:

“Landmark development in ES-SCLC!

Phase 3 DeLLphi-305 has shown a statistically significant and clinically meaningful OS benefit with tarlatamab (IMDELLTRA) + durvalumab versus durvalumab alone as 1L maintenance after platinum–etoposide + durvalumab.

PFS and ORR also improved. A potentially important new chapter in ES-SCLC maintenance therapy.

Looking forward to full data Stephen V Liu, Tejas Patil, Laura Alder.”

To which, Ben Creelan, Thoracic Oncologist at Moffitt Cancer Center, added:

“Tarlatumab every 2 weeks indefinitely” I’ve pts w/ ED-SCLC in remission for years – on durva or even no maintenance. How long is tarla really needed? Should every patient get it? Questions only academic centers can solve!

I look to Jacob sands, Laura Alder, Misty Dawn Shields, Giannis Mountzios to guide us.”
