“Just published: The latest Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer.
This year’s report reveals significant progress against lung cancer over the past two decades. Reduced cigarette smoking among adults and secondhand exposure, increased lung cancer screening among those at higher risk, and sustained tobacco control are critical to reducing lung cancer deaths.
There is still work that needs to be done. Lung cancer remains the second most common cancer and the leading cause of cancer death in the United States.
