Ahmet Dirican, Professor of Medical Oncology at Medicana International İzmir Hospital, shared on X:
“KRASCENDO-1 at ESMO 2026: A New Standard for KRAS G12C-Mutant NSCLC?
Roche has announced that divarasib demonstrated statistically significant improvements in both PFS and OS compared with sotorasib or adagrasib in the Phase III KRASCENDO-1 trial.
This is particularly important: a next-generation KRAS G12C inhibitor has been tested head-to-head against approved inhibitors, rather than chemotherapy.
The full results will be presented on October 25 (LBA5).
The key question is no longer whether divarasib is superior, but how large and clinically meaningful that advantage is.
We need to see the absolute PFS/OS benefit, toxicity, and subgroup results before defining its place in practice.”
