Childhood Cancer International Europe shared on LinkedIn:
“What happens when the care a child needs is somewhere else?
A particular treatment, a specialised team, or the experience needed with a very rare cancer.
For some children, even accessing the essential care they need means looking beyond where they live, and often even beyond their home country.
When the expertise a child needs is available elsewhere, the challenge is making sure that this does not become a barrier to care. The question is whether Europe can ensure that children can access the care they need, no matter where it is provided.
