Rana McKay Professor of Medicine and Urology at UC San Diego Health Co-leader of the GU Oncology Program at Moores Cancer Center As Co-Chair of VIRO, Dr. Rana McKay (University of California, San Diego) opened the congress with her talk on  “Future Directions: Emerging Agents and Combinations.” She emphasized the momentum in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) research, highlighting how novel immunotherapies, targeted drugs, and rational combination strategies are reshaping patient care. Dr. McKay underscored the importance of personalized, biomarker-driven approaches and global collaboration, aiming to optimize survival and quality of life worldwide.

Spotlight on Elen Baloyan

Dr. Elen Baloyan is the Managing Editor of OncoDaily and Director of the Boston Institute for Global Rankings (BIGR). She is a Medical Oncology Fellow at Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center and Project Coordinator at the Immune Oncology Research Institute. Her research interests include gastrointestinal and lung cancers, with a focus on immune oncology and improving healthcare access in LMICs.
