Sandy Duarte, Co-Founder, Executive Director, Sound Curator at SONIC UNITY, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“During chemotherapy, I was advised to avoid group settings, including yoga classes, because my immune system was so compromised.
But one day, I quietly slipped into a class. I was careful, I kept my distance, and for that one hour, I remembered what it felt like to simply breathe.
Yoga has always been more than movement to me. It has been a place of grounding, hope, and healing – then and now.
I’m grateful to Home Studio Los Angeles for sharing this moment of me reading from Cancer Ramblings and for embracing my journey with such kindness and support.
If you’re ever at the studio, you’ll also find copies of Cancer Ramblings in the lobby. Thank you Home Studio, for creating a space where healing, community, and stories of resilience continue to inspire.
Have you ever had a place that helped carry you through one of life’s hardest seasons?”
