True success is the impact made on people’s lives
This week, Access Accelerated hosted an enriching discussion on harnessing real-world lessons to drive forward #NCD progress toward the 2030 health targets.
Key insights include:
1️⃣ The importance of grounding our efforts in country realities and listening to local actors. Ready-made solutions may not always fit the unique challenges faced by every country or context, but it gives us an opportunity to be more creative in co-creating solutions that reflect local needs.
2️⃣ True success is the impact made on people’s lives: meaningful change to individuals and communities, and the sustained involvement of local stakeholders in creating, implementing and owning the change.
3️⃣ The need for low-risk, flexible funding to allow creative and innovative #NCD solutions for lasting impact.
These learnings call for resilience, strong partnerships, and unwavering commitment – qualities that will enable us to sustain our momentum and advance the NCD agenda.
Thank you to our speakers and participants who shared their insights, and posed thoughtful questions. Your engagement is invaluable as we strive to make much-needed and urgent progress on access to #NCD care around the world.
