“Very often I have been asked why I work in palliative care/cancer care.

‘Isn’t it depressing? You don’t keep good health, all the pain and suffering will pull you down. You should step away from this sadness.’ I have heard this so many times…..but this doesn’t dissuade me from doing what I do. Rather I only get more motivated to bust the myths surrounding palliative care!

The wife of a dying man says I love you to him for the first time in 40 years of their marriage…

A woman living with progressive cancer fulfills her dream of visiting the Valley of Flowers…..

…….then can palliative care be sad or depressing?
