Diversity in healthcare professionals is a critical part of reducing cancer care disparities – Karen Knudsen
In light of the Supreme Court ruling on affirmative action, I’d like to share the American Cancer Society‘s official statement and acknowledge that we strongly believe that this ruling must not erase the years of progress that have been made to improve diversity within the U.S. medical student population. Diversity in healthcare professionals is a critical part of reducing cancer care disparities. We will continue to do all we can to increase the pipeline into STEM roles for historically underserved communities as we work to improve the lives of cancer patients and their families.
