“A round of a-paws to the inaugural class of American Cancer Society PAWS program grantees! Help us congratulate Lois (CHOC Children’s), Brea (Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital), Luna (Norton Children’s), Kiko and Cola (UW Health Hospitals and Clinics – American Family Children’s Hospital), Company (Children’s National Hospital) and the furry crew from Texas Children’s Hospital (Bailey, Pinto, Pluto, Cohen, and Angus).
The program aims to increase access to specially trained therapy dogs who work full-time in hospitals to enhance the quality of life of patients with cancer and the people who matter most to them. Stay tuned for next year’s call for applications!
