Yesterday I met someone so very inspiring at #ASCO2023 …

Laura Crandon, a breast cancer survivor who founded Touch4Life, a nonprofit working to increase awareness of breast cancer and the importance of molecular and genetic testing in black, indigenous and people of color, as well as underserved communities.

We had an amazing discussion about the fantastic precision medicines available in breast cancer… but… without the appropriate screening tests to catch the cancer early and knowledge around which molecular and genetic tests should be evaluated, patients may miss the opportunity to receive novel life saving or life sustaining therapies.

I admire the work Laura is doing as a true advocate for our breast cancer patients.

I’ve focused my career on breast cancer — lost so many breast cancer patients I can’t even count. But trust me, I can still see their faces. To see Laura’s face and know she’s a survivor, doing so much good with her life to truly help others… this fills my heart with pure hope. We need more of this!💗
