2025 Young Investigator Awardees Revealed by SIOP: Recognising Tomorrow’s Leaders

The International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP) has proudly announced the recipients of the 2025 Young Investigator Awards, recognizing a distinguished group of early-career researchers whose work is shaping the future of pediatric oncology.

About SIOP

The International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP) is the leading global organization dedicated to advancing the care and cure of children and adolescents with cancer. Founded in 1969, SIOP brings together over 2,600 healthcare professionals, researchers, and advocates from more than 110 countries. Through annual congresses, research initiatives, and education programs, SIOP supports collaboration and knowledge-sharing to improve outcomes for young cancer patients worldwide.

About the Young Investigator Award

The Young Investigator Award is one of SIOP’s flagship initiatives aimed at empowering early-career researchers in pediatric oncology. The award provides promising investigators with the opportunity to present their original work at the SIOP Annual Meeting, an internationally respected platform for scientific exchange and innovation in childhood cancer.

Award recipients are selected based on the quality and impact of their submitted abstracts, with priority given to prospective multicenter studies and large-scale translational research. The goal is to recognize and foster the next generation of leaders committed to improving the lives of children with cancer.

Award Benefits

Each of the 2025 awardees will receive:

  • Complimentary registration to the SIOP Annual Meeting
  • Free one-year membership in Young SIOP
  • Financial support of up to €1,500 toward travel and accommodation (for in-person attendance)

These benefits are designed to promote global participation, especially for young investigators from low- and middle-income countries, and support professional development in pediatric oncology.
