We join the global oncology community in mourning the passing of Dr. Rachna Shroff, a brilliant gastrointestinal oncologist, an inspiring mentor, and a leader in clinical research. This morning, NBC’s TODAY Show shared Dr. Shroff’s inspiring story.
Throughout her career, Dr. Shroff dedicated herself to caring for patients with gastrointestinal cancers and fostering the next generation of researchers. When she recently shared her hope to permanently endow a Young Investigator Award for future biliary cancer researchers, more than 600 colleagues, mentees, and friends rallied to turn that dream into reality – raising more than $1.35 million to secure her legacy.
