Luis E. Raez, Medical Director of Memorial Cancer Institute, shared Stephen Liu’s, Chief of Division of Hematology and Oncology at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, post on X, adding:
“Adjuvant approaches are not very efficacious as long as we are treating everybody including people that might not require therapy. We need to enrich the population that needs therapy with MRD and other biomarkers.”
Quoting Stephen Liu’s post:
“Negative phase III KEYNOTE-867 on Journal of Clinical Oncology.
Patients with stage I-II NSCLC treated with SBRT with pembro vs placebo (n=448). No difference in EFS (31.2 vs 28.3m, HR 0.92). Poor partner, wrong setting, or both? Adjuvant IO approaches in general disappointing.”
