Yale Cancer Center shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We are proud to share that Lajos Pusztai has been named today as an inductee into the 14th Annual Giants of Cancer Care recognition program, in the Prevention/Genetics award category, presented by OncLive.
Dr. Pusztai is a professor of medicine (medical oncology and hematology), and is also chair of the Breast Cancer Research Committee of the Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG). His research group has made important contributions, establishing that estrogen receptor-positive and estrogen receptor-negative breast cancers have fundamentally different molecular, clinical, and epidemiological characteristics.
Dr. Pusztai and his fellow inductees, selected by a prestigious committee, represent the very best of oncology research, clinical advancement, mentorship, and patient-centered care. Their work has not only extended lives but fundamentally changed the trajectory of cancer treatment for generations to come.”
