MASCC 2025 Presidential Training Fellowship Spotlight: Dr. Julien Vos
OncoDaily highlights one of seven outstanding oncology leaders recognized with the MASCC Presidential Training Fellowship for their commitment to advancing supportive cancer care worldwide.
The Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) Presidential Training Fellowship is one of the most prestigious honors for emerging leaders in oncology, recognizing early-career physicians and researchers who are redefining cancer care through innovation, education, and international collaboration. Each year, only a small group of exceptional individuals is chosen from around the globe to represent the future of supportive oncology.
As part of OncoDaily’s exclusive MASCC 2025 coverage, we are spotlighting this year’s seven fellowship recipients. Today, we feature Dr. Julien Arthur Maria Vos, a promising general practitioners trainee and postdoctoral researcher from the Netherlands whose work in survivorship care and supportive oncology is setting new standards for integrating patient well-being into cancer care delivery.
About Dr. Julien Vos
Dr. Vos is currently navigating dual roles: completing his General Practice training while serving as a postdoctoral researcher at Amsterdam UMC, University of Amsterdam. His research focuses intently on bridging the gap between guideline-driven survivorship care and its real-world application, especially in addressing cancer-related fatigue, managing treatment-related long-term toxicities, and integrating rehabilitation into cancer recovery pathways.
In the latest MASCC 2025 episode, Julien Vos shares his first-time experience at MASCC and being selected for The Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) Fellowship.
He talks about his upcoming work with Prof. Raymond Chan on auditing funded projects to ensure alignment with MASCC’s 2030 Supportive Care Statement, and his passion for advancing survivorship & supportive care research.
A Voice for the Future of Supportive Oncology
With his combined experience in clinical training and research, Dr. Julien Vos represents a new wave of oncology professionals focused on making supportive care a core part of cancer treatment. His work in survivorship, fatigue management, and translating research into practice reflects MASCC’s mission to improve care for every patient.
Stay tuned to OncoDaily’s MASCC 2025 coverage as we continue to profile our Fellowship recipients, celebrating their stories and their influence on the future of supportive cancer care. These profiles aim to inspire global dialogue, encourage collaboration, and celebrate the professionals working tirelessly to elevate cancer care standards worldwide.
