“Yesterday, I had the privilege of presenting a clinical case on metastatic castration-naive prostate cancer during a virtual inter-country collaboration between Pharm.D students from Federal University Teaching Hospital Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria, and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The session created a platform for meaningful discussions around oncology pharmacy practice in both countries. We explored the similarities and unique challenges in our respective healthcare systems, and it was inspiring to see how much we can learn from each other.
Collaborations like this remind me of the importance of global thinking in healthcare, because cancer knows no borders, and neither should the pursuit of better care.
