Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center shared on LinkedIn:
“Christian Ramsoomair, a fifth-year M.D./Ph.D. student in the Medical Scientist Training Program at the Miller School, has been awarded the prestigious National Cancer Institute F30 fellowship to advance cancer research at Sylvester, part of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
His four-year, approximately $220,000 fellowship will support his research on diffuse midline glioma (DMG), a devastating brain tumor affecting children. Ramsoomair aims to pioneer new anti-cancer approaches in DMG patients, enhancing the field of pediatric cancer treatment.
‘I want a career in pediatric neurosurgery where my basic science and clinical research can be directly translated to children suffering at the bedside,’ said Ramsoomair.
Discover how mentorship at Miller School and Sylvester is shaping the future of cancer research.”
