“Day 1 at American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and so it begins.
Day 1 was all about the human side of oncology — listening deeply to patient experiences, and reflecting on the importance of choice in the cancer journey. ASCO Voices was especially moving, reminding us that being “too young for cancer” is a reality many of us know all too well — myself included.
Another key takeaway: the art of networking and the impact of social media in shaping our careers and expanding our reach. These tools not only connect us with colleagues, but also amplify the work we do and the stories we carry.
To end this great day, a stroll along the Chicago Riverwalk was the perfect way to reflect and recharge.
