Yin Ling Woo, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The nature of what I do means that I receive different feeds on cervical cancer awareness month through my media channels. It’s quite easy to glean through them and think ‘yes, I know’. But it’s really important to pause, consider and execute different plans meaningfully in each of our local settings.
For example, in this 10 point plan outlined from the Economist recently, I asked myself how this can be done in Malaysia. How does one get political commitment and momentum if we can’t get political attention? Who are the stakeholders in Malaysia and who initiates collaboration?
Time to put my thinking hat on and consider all this during cervical cancer awareness month.”
