Andrea Suarez: Only 25% of cancer patients in clinical trials are asked about side effects they find intolerable
Andrea Suarez, Community Engagement Advisor at GRYT Health, shared on X:
“Did you know only 25% of cancer patients in clinical trials are asked about side effects they find intolerable? Asking the right questions can significantly boost Clinical Trial enrollment.”
Stacey Tinianov, co-founder of Advocates for Collaborative Education (ACE), shared this post on X, adding:
“Indeed, these were types of things we investigated with our Advocates for Collaborative Education (ACE) survey ‘More Than a Diagnosis’. We asked across the diagnosis/treatment/survivorship landscape (not specifically clinical trials). Also concerning: PROs are rarely published even if questions are asked.”
