The Max Foundation: Pat Garcia-Gonzalez was recognized and awarded by the President of Kenya, William Samoei Ruto, in honor of Mashujaa Day
Pat Garcia-Gonzalez, Chief Executive Officer at The Max Foundation, recently shared a post by The Max Foundation, on LinkedIn, adding:
“I was humbled to accept this recognition on behalf of everyone who has made it possible for people diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia and other cancers in Kenya to live with dignity and hope, especially our partners Novartis Global Health, Henzo Kenya, The Nairobi Hospital, Bristol Myers Squibb, Pfizer and many others who dedicate their lives to helping their community.”
Quoting The Max Foundation’s post:
“Yesterday our CEO Pat Garcia-Gonzalez was recognized and awarded by the President of Kenya, William Samoei Ruto, PhD, in honor of Mashujaa Day! Also called ‘Heroes’ Day’ because “mashujaa’ is the Swahili word for ‘heroes,’ this public holiday honors all who have contributed to Kenya’s freedom.
We have treated over 3,000 patients in Kenya for more than 20 years working with our partners at Coast General, JOOTRH Kisumu, MTRH-Eldoret, Nakuru Level 5, and The Nairobi Hospital. We look forward to offering even more people in this nation dignity and hope in the future!”
