Marianne Sarcich: Why the no lump, no cancer narrative can be harmful
Marianne Sarcich, Breast Cancer Survivor/National Advocate, shared on LinkedIn
“Here’s just one reason why the no lump, no cancer narrative women are being told can be harmful. Lobular breast cancer does not always form a lump. It’s difficult to screen for and has a higher chance of being diagnosed at an advanced stage. And, about 10% of those diagnosed with breast cancer will have lobular or ILC.
Awareness about the subtype is so important. And a lobular breast cancer awareness day is long overdue.
Click on this link which is the post I was trying to originally.”
