Dr. Tetiana Shevchuk is a board-certified breast surgical oncologist and Fellow of the European Board of Surgery (FEBS), currently working as a Surgical Oncologist at the Mammology Center in Kyiv, Ukraine, while serving as Ukraine’s National Representative to the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) and a Management Committee Member of COST Action DISSECT CA24158. She earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Bogomolets National Medical University (2013–2019), followed by training in general surgery and surgical oncology at Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine (2019–2023), with additional international experience as a Visiting Fellow at Royal Derby Hospital and an Observer at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Her work focuses on breast surgical oncology, including implant-based breast reconstruction, mastectomy techniques for complex cases such as significant breast ptosis, and prevention of nipple-areola complex necrosis after nipple-sparing skin-reducing mastectomy. She has co-authored three peer-reviewed publications in this area: “Surgical treatment for postirradiation capsular contracture in implant-based breast reconstruction: a single-center experience” (European Journal of Surgical Oncology, December 2025); “P330: Two-stage mastectomy approach for patients with significant breast ptosis: reducing complications and improving aesthetic outcomes” (The Breast, February 2025); and “Prevention necrosis of the nipple-areola complex in breast reconstruction after nipple-sparing skin-reducing mastectomy” (European Journal of Surgical Oncology, February 2024).
