Dr. Petros Grivas is a board-certified medical oncologist and internationally recognized expert in genitourinary (GU) cancers, currently serving as Professor in the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch Cancer Center and Professor in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He is the Clinical Director of the GU Cancers Program at the University of Washington and holds roles as Medical Director of Local/Regional Outreach and Medical Director of the International Program at Fred Hutch. Born and trained in Greece, Dr. Grivas earned his MD and PhD from the University of Patras before completing residency at Drexel University/Hahnemann University Hospital and fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Michigan. He played a central role in clinical trials that led to FDA approvals of new drugs for urothelial/bladder cancer, is a leader in checkpoint inhibitor trials in GU malignancies, and is considered a global thought leader who lectures internationally and pursues active community outreach.
