Dr. Dragana Stanić Tišma, MD, PhD, is a distinguished radiation oncologist and academic leader with long-standing contributions to cancer care, education, and research in Serbia. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, where she is involved in advancing medical education and mentoring the next generation of oncologists. Dr. Stanić Tišма is completing her PhD studies at the same institution, with a focus on contemporary innovations in radiation oncology.
For more than 13 years, Dr. Stanić Tišma has been a key member of the Institute of Oncology and Radiology of Serbia, one of the country’s central institutions for cancer treatment and research. She joined the Institute in 2010 and has since held progressive roles, including Radiation Oncology Resident, Medical Doctor, and currently Radiation Oncologist. Since May 2017, she has been practicing as a full-time radiation oncologist, where she plays a pivotal role in the multidisciplinary management of patients across various tumor types.
Dr. Stanić Tišма’s clinical expertise spans the full spectrum of radiotherapy techniques, with particular interest in advanced technologies, precision radiation therapy, and individualized treatment planning. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her dedication to patient-centered care, evidence-based practice, and continuous quality improvement.
In academia, she has been part of the University of Belgrade since October 2018, where she contributes to both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Her work integrates clinical experience with academic rigor, emphasizing the importance of innovation, research methodology, and multidisciplinary oncology.
Dr. Stanić Tišма is actively involved in scientific research, with contributions to national and international meetings. Her academic interests include radiotherapeutic optimization, clinical outcomes research, and expanding access to high-quality oncologic care in Serbia and the broader region.
