Dr. Abeid Athman Omar is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Head of the Oncology Department at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) in Nairobi, Kenya, with a special interest in breast cancer in young women, oncofertility, lung cancer, and global oncology. He completed his clinical oncology and nuclear medicine training at Alexandria University in Egypt and is a fellow and graduate of the European School of Oncology (ESO) in Milan, Italy. He was awarded Best Poster in the Breast Cancer Category at the ESMO 2024 Congress and has been recognized with multiple national and international awards including the ASCO IDEA Award and the OncoDaily Yvonne Award.
