“I am truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the success of ESMO Gynaecological Cancers Congress 2026.
It was an honor to participate in such an important event and reconnect with colleagues, friends, and mentors from around the world who share a commitment to advancing care for women with gynecological cancers.
Congratulations to the Congress Chairs for putting together an excellent and highly relevant program, and sincere thanks to the ESMO staff whose dedication made the event such a success.”

ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology:
“Advances in liquid biopsy clinical research have helped identify and monitor tumor-derived biomarkers such as circulating tumor DNA.
These approaches can enable real-time molecular profiling and capture tumor heterogeneity and clonal evolution over time.
While standardized guidelines for applying ctDNA assays and interpreting results in clinical practice remain limited, efforts are underway to support the implementation of ctDNA analysis for detecting and monitoring minimal residual disease across several tumor types.

“At ESMO Gynaecological Cancers Congress 2026.
Great science, meaningful conversations, diverse perspectives, and a shared ambition to improve outcomes for women with gynecological cancers.
Sometimes, the real value of a congress lies not only in the presentations, but also in the exchange of ideas between sessions.”

ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology:
“Data from two clinical trials of the anti-PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor dostarlimab provide evidence of long-term efficacy and safety in advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer.
In the GARNET study, the 6-year objective response rate was 45.5%, with nine patients who had previously achieved a partial response later achieving a complete response.
In the RUBY study, the 4-year overall survival rate was 72.8%, and the complete response rate was 32% among patients with dMMR/MSI-H disease.
These findings suggest that immunotherapy may have curative potential for some patients with this difficult-to-treat cancer.

“It has been a while since I last posted about conferences, but today I had a memorable experience speaking at the ESMO Gynaecological Cancers Congress 2026.
I presented on the practical management of antibody–drug conjugate toxicities in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.
This was also my first time visiting Copenhagen and attending ESMO Gynae. I have been impressed by how much value this meeting offers. Compared with larger oncology congresses, it is a compact conference focused on the most relevant and rapidly evolving topics in systemic therapies for gynecological cancers.
The discussions are practical, the science is cutting-edge, and there are many opportunities for meaningful interactions.
Discussing ADC toxicities was particularly timely, as these therapies are becoming increasingly important in our treatment arsenal. Ensuring that patients derive the greatest benefit requires understanding their efficacy, while also recognizing, preventing, and managing toxicities through close multidisciplinary collaboration.
I am very grateful to Jung-Yun Lee and John Chia for sharing their patient vignettes for the presentation.”

“Delighted to share the results of Study 420 at ESMO Gynaecological Cancers Congress 2026, evaluating carboplatin plus mirvetuximab soravtansine in folate receptor alpha-positive, platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer.
The study included 120 patients, with approximately 50% previously exposed to PARP inhibitors.
Prior PARP inhibitor exposure alone did not affect outcomes. However, patients whose disease progressed during PARP inhibitor treatment had lower objective response rates and progression-free survival.”

“Honored to have received an ESMO Merit Award at the ESMO Gynaecological Cancers Congress 2026 for our work on financial toxicity among patients enrolled in gynecological oncology clinical trials.
This recognition highlights the growing importance of addressing the impact of cancer care on patients’ quality of life and is a great encouragement to continue pursuing patient-centered research.
I am grateful to all my colleagues from the Innovative Therapies for Women’s Cancers Unit at Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS, led by Dr. Vanda Salutari, for their support, collaboration, and daily commitment to improving care for women with gynecological cancers.”
“Brilliant sessions so far on Day 1 of ESMO Gynaecological Cancers Congress 2026, and a pleasure to spend the day with Sarah Passey from The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynaecology, & Women’s Health.
Please reach out if you are attending and would like to discuss your research or publishing with The Lancet Group.”

ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology:

“A successful few days in Copenhagen at ESMO Gynaecological Cancers Congress 2026 with Sean Littlewood and Robyn Trudgill, supporting our client.”

“Fantastic talk at ESMO Gynaecological Cancers Congress 2026 from David SP Tan on advances in the management of ovarian clear cell carcinoma.
This disease is rare in Western populations but less so in the East. Combination regimens are showing benefit, supported by findings from Gupta et al.’s phase 2 basket trial published in eClinicalMedicine.
More encouraging data have emerged since then, making this an exciting time for progress in a challenging and underrepresented disease area.
Looking forward to the DOVE trial readout in 2027.

“Excited to attend the ESMO Gynaecological Cancers Congress 2026 in Copenhagen, where leading experts gathered to share the latest advances in gynecologic oncology. As a Medical Oncologist with a special interest in gynecological cancers, I feel grateful for the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and stay at the forefront of innovation in ovarian, endometrial, cervical, vulvar, and rare gynecologic cancers.
Key highlights from ESMO Gynae 2026 that caught my attention:
Immunotherapy continues to reshape the treatment landscape of gynecologic cancers, particularly in dMMR endometrial cancer, with growing evidence supporting earlier and more effective use of immune checkpoint inhibitors.
Bispecific antibodies emerged as an exciting therapeutic platform, demonstrating promising activity and opening new opportunities for immune-based treatment approaches.
Antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) remain at the forefront of innovation, with encouraging results across ovarian, endometrial, and cervical cancers.
New therapeutic strategies for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer were among the most exciting developments of the congress, including novel ADCs, bispecific antibodies, and other targeted approaches that may address a major unmet clinical need.
HER2-directed therapies continue to expand treatment options, reinforcing the importance of comprehensive molecular profiling.
Emerging targets such as B7-H4 and Nectin-4 showed promising clinical activity, highlighting the growing arsenal of precision therapies in gynecologic oncology.
An inspiring meeting in Copenhagen that showcased the remarkable pace of innovation in gynecologic oncology and strengthened our commitment to translating cutting-edge science into improved patient outcomes.”
