Mazyar Shadman: Closing the CAR T-Cell Therapy Access Gap in Large B-Cell Lymphoma

Mazyar Shadman, Professor of Hematology and Oncology at Fred Hutch and University of Washington, shared on LinkedIn:

“Just published in Blood Advance: ‘CAR T-cell therapy referral patterns and utilization for relapsed/refractory large B-cell lymphoma in the United States.’

Our findings confirm that CAR T-cell therapy remains significantly underutilized, with only ~15% of patients receiving CAR T.

We need to

  • continue generating data
  • raising awareness
  • working to improve access and utilization.

Thanks to all the authors and collaborators who contributed to this work Bristol Myers Squibb.”
