“Very happy to see our Global Study of Perceptions of Patient Navigation for Older Adults With Cancer now published in JCO Global Oncology.
This work was developed through the The Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) Geriatrics Study Group, bringing together colleagues from around the world to better understand how patient navigation is perceived and delivered for older adults with cancer across different health systems.
We heard from 222 participants across 38 countries, and the findings reinforce how important navigation can be for older adults with cancer, particularly in the context of increasingly complex care pathways and very different levels of access to geriatric oncology and supportive care resources.
But perhaps the best part of this project was getting to work with Kristen Haase, one of the very best in geriatric oncology. Always a privilege to work together.
Huge congratulations to the entire team for making this truly global collaboration possible.
Hopefully this is just the beginning as we work toward translating these findings into practical guidance for navigation of older adults with cancer.”
