“While these findings demonstrate that CART19 cells can persist for more than 10 years in lymphoma and identify phenotypic, transcriptional and clonal features associated with exceptionally long-term persistence, it is not clear if they confer protective immunity against recurrence.
It would be interesting to eveluate persistnce in patients who had recurrence after CART but remained alive for extended period of time. While there might not be many of these patients, it is possible to find some patients treated with TCE engegers treated post CART.”
