Ahmed Orabi: Chest Wall Perforator Flaps Offer New Options for Breast Reconstruction

Ahmed Orabi, Consultant at Baheya Foundation, shared on LinkedIn:

“I’m pleased to share my latest publication on the Role of Chest Wall Perforator Flaps (CWPFs) in Upper Inner Quadrant (UIQ) Breast Defects.

Upper inner quadrant breast defects can present unique reconstructive challenges. In this study, we explored the role of chest wall perforator flaps as a breast-conserving reconstructive option, aiming to achieve satisfactory cosmetic outcomes while preserving oncological principles.

I hope this work contributes to the growing evidence supporting oncoplastic breast surgery and encourages further research in this field.”
