Earlier today Andrea Vidali, Marcello Ceccaroni, Canio Martinelli and our founder Antonio Giordano met for a strategic session that lay the groundwork for this program.
Why this initiative matters
– The scale of the challenge
Women spend 25 % more of their lives in poor health than men, costing the global economy up to $1 trillion each year by 2040.– Only 8.8 % of NIH research grants (2013‑2023) focused on women’s health, even though women make up 51 % of the population.
-Endometriosis alone still takes 5 – 12 years to diagnose, prolonging pain, infertility and lost productivity.
Bidirectional, agile workflow- Identify urgent clinical problems
– Generate data‑driven hypotheses
– Build and refine experimental models
– Validate scientifically
– Deploy low‑cost, scalable technologies at the bedside● Comprehensive, multi‑omic lens
Integrated genomics, epigenomics, proteomics, metabolomics and digital phenotyping create a 360° view of female biology, turning overlooked signals into actionable biomarkers.● Global brain circulation
Our network spans North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia, ensuring diverse perspectives and equitable impact.– How you can engage
● Mentor or train
– Competitive scholarships will soon open to support international mobility for early‑career researchers.
