Nataliya Kovalchuk: Apply for the ESTRO-Endorsed Brachytherapy Workshop for Ukraine

Nataliya Kovalchuk, Clinical Professor at Stanford Radiation Oncology, shared on LinkedIn:

“Thank You for a Great Lecture 5 of the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO)-Endorsed Cervical Cancer Brachytherapy Course for Ukraine!

Help Ukraine Group (HUG), together with Brachy Terra and with the support of Swe Care, extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the fifth live lecture of our ESTRO-endorsed Cervical Cancer Brachytherapy Course for Ukraine.

A very special thank you to Dr. Maryna Sokolovska for delivering an excellent lecture on Clinical Case of Reirradiation with Brachytherapy. Maryna shared a literature review on reirradiation in brachytherapy for cervical cancer and a clinical case together with practical insights into one of the most challenging areas of gynecologic radiation oncology. Her expertise and thoughtful discussion questions provided participants with valuable knowledge that can be applied in clinical practice.

We are also deeply grateful to Dr. Christian Kirisits for joining the session and generously answering participants’ questions during the interactive discussion. Special thanks to Serhii Brovchuk for moderating the session and facilitating an engaging Q/A.

  • Only one live session remains!

Join us on September 2 for our final live session: Q/A with the Brachy Terra Team
This will be a great opportunity to ask questions, review key concepts from the course, and discuss practical challenges in cervical cancer brachytherapy with our international faculty.

  • Registration for the practical hands-on workshop in Gliwice, Poland (October 12-14, 2026) is now open!

Only 16 participants (8 multidisciplinary teams consisting of one Radiation Oncologist and one Medical Physicist) will be selected for this intensive practical training.

Help Ukraine Group will fully sponsor travel, accommodation, and participation costs for the selected participants.

Selection will be based on participants’ engagement and progress in the course, with completion of the asynchronous online course required before the workshop. We encourage everyone to continue working through the online modules and submit their workshop application before September 1.

Register here.

Together, we continue to learn, collaborate, and strengthen brachytherapy services for Ukrainian patients.”
