Laura Bukavina: No significant link was found between plant-based or animal-based protein intake and bladder cancer risk

Laura Bukavina, Urologic Oncologist at Cleveland Clinic Urology, shared a post on X about a recent paper by Sara Beigrezaei et al. published in European Journal of Nutrition:

“As a vegetarian, I am a bit surprised but some food for thought here… No significant link found between plant-based or animal-based protein intake and bladder cancer risk. Substitutions between them also showed no impact in bladder cancer.”
