Larissa Nekhlyudov: Celebrating an Incredible Year of Collaboration with Julien Vos at the Dana-Farber
Larissa Nekhlyudov, Professor of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, shared on LinkedIn a post by Julien Vos, Social Media Manager at Journal of Cancer Survivorship, adding:
“What a great way to celebrate an incredible year of collaboration with Julien Vos at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute!
Julien’s dedication and hard work made a substantial impact on our collaborative efforts in cancer survivorship!
While it is bittersweet to see him return to Amsterdam, a number of exciting projects are already underway — STAY TUNED!!!
Grateful to have connected with Julien through Ca-PRI Primary Care Cancer Network (an organization near and dear to me) and one which continues to foster meaningful global connections!”
Quoting Julien Vos‘s post:
“As more cancer survivors live longer, primary care is increasingly important for managing long-term follow-up and overall health. Yet, primary care systems are under intense pressure, and clinicians are already stretched to deliver high-quality care.
In this new commentary with Nicole Stout DPT, CLT-LANA, FAPTA and Larissa Nekhlyudov, we explore how survivorship care can be strengthened in primary care, using the implementation plan outlined in The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine report Implementing High-Quality Primary Care: Rebuilding the Foundation of Health Care.
We map survivorship evidence to the five key implementation objectives:
- Payment
- Access
- Workforce
- Digital health
- Accountability
Through this work, we identify actionable directions for policy and research to ensure primary care can truly serve as a ‘common good’ for all cancer survivors. While the report is tailored to the U.S. healthcare system, these challenges are universal, with lessons to be learned globally.”
