Fred C Lam: Unraveling Glioblastoma Heterogeneity
Fred C Lam, Clinical Instructor at Stanford Neurosurgery, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“So proud of my dear friend Cecile Maire, who taught me everything I know about patient-derived mouse models of GBM, for mentoring WashU Arts & Sciences graduate Joshua Lui, Ukraine medical student Maksym Horiachok, MD, and recently minted UK MD Santosh Guru, on this wonderful review of GBM T cell immune heterogeneity, fresh off the press at Brain Sciences MDPI!
Even more impressive that this was a cross-Atlantic collaboration with authors from Germany, the Ukraine, the UK, and the USA!
But what really hits home the levity of this manuscript is the fact that Cecile Maire was taking care of her father, who was diagnosed with a GBM, while working tirelessly on her own GBM research, AND mentoring these young authors.
Cecile Maire, thank you for continuing to show up throughout adversity, for your tenacity and integrity – we’re dedicating this to your Papa, who continues to fight the good fight.”
