“Good news for cancer care in the EU this week Member States are beginning to show support for a strong health dimension in the EU’s next long-term budget.
Czechia: Prime Minister Andrej Babiš says his government will do everything possible to secure continued European funding for healthcare after 2027, highlighting the significant investment needs facing Czech hospitals.
Belgium: Foreign Affairs Minister Maxime Prévot declared that Belgium will engage with like-minded Member States and, where possible, adopt joint positions to ensure that healthcare financing is clearly reflected in the next MFF.
Other member states need to match this ambition, as the clock is ticking toward a final budget.
That’s why the European Cancer Organisation and its partners are keeping the pressure on – pushing it up the political agenda.
