Eric Small: Pleased to Launch ‘Science Matters’ – a Series at the Heart of Cancer Care
Eric Small, 2025-26 ASCO President, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“As I begin my term as 2025-26 ASCO President, our work will be guided by the theme ‘The Science and Practice of Translation: Improving Cancer Outcomes Worldwide.’ To explore the many facets of this, I’m pleased to launch ‘Science Matters‘ a series exploring the scientific ‘matters’ at the heart of cancer care.
For me, this is about more than moving cancer discoveries from the lab to the clinic, and to populations beyond; it’s about translating our work across languages, cultures, geographic borders, practice settings and communities, ensuring advances reach every patient, everywhere.
The creativity and commitment of our entire ASCO community is deeply inspiring and energizes our shared mission. Together, our work brings hope to patients around the globe.
In the first installment, I share more on this vision for the year ahead. I hope you enjoy this introduction and follow along for more.”
