“Every person impacted by cancer can benefit from patient navigation.
It’s a proven tool to enhance patient experiences, lower health care system costs, and ultimately improve health outcomes.
In other words, navigation is a game changer and should be a given in our Byzantine health systems.
One year ago the White House Cancer Moonshot, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the American Medical Association took a huge step forward to improve the lives of patients and reduce health inequities by supporting reimbursement for navigation services.
I’m so excited to celebrate this milestone and join leaders at the White House tomorrow to discuss the transformative role of patient navigation in cancer care.
