ECHoS Town Hall Meeting 2025: Advancing Coordination and Innovation in European Cancer Care

The upcoming ECHoS Town Hall Meeting marks a significant step in strengthening Europe’s collective response to cancer. Centered on the implementation of the Horizon Europe ECHoS project, the meeting aims to foster dialogue and strategic collaboration among leading stakeholders involved in shaping the future of cancer research and care across the continent.

Scheduled for November 21, 2025, from 09:00 to 13:00 CET at the Radisson Collection Hotel in Brussels, the event will bring together policymakers, researchers, healthcare professionals, and patient representatives. The discussions will focus on assessing the progress of national coordination hubs established under ECHoS structures designed to integrate research, innovation, and policy efforts to enhance the coherence and impact of cancer initiatives across EU member states.

At its core, the Town Hall Meeting seeks to evaluate how these hubs contribute to advancing the key objectives of both the EU Mission on Cancer and Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan. By providing a platform for expert exchange, the event underscores Europe’s commitment to fostering more equitable, innovative, and patient-centered cancer systems.

Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in forward-looking discussions on sustainable collaboration models, share insights from national experiences, and explore ways to align research priorities with public health policies to improve outcomes for patients.

The ECHoS Town Hall Meeting represents not only a milestone in coordination but also a shared vision of a more connected and effective European cancer ecosystem.
