World Child Cancer and WHO Discussed Memorandum of Understanding on Childhood Cancer Medicine Access
World Child Cancer shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Yesterday, World Child Cancer Trustee Julie S. Torode and Director of Programmes Joseph Dixon met with Dr Roberta Ortiz Sequeira, Medical Officer for the Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer at the World Health Organization. Together, they took an important step toward formalising a Memorandum of Understanding between the WHO and World Child Cancer.
This represents a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to improve survival rates for children with cancer.
The meeting also addressed the vital work of the Global Platform for Access to Childhood Cancer Medicines, highlighting the critical role World Child Cancer can play in ensuring that all children – regardless of where they are treated – have access to quality-assured essential medicines.
Progress like this reminds us that meaningful change is possible when we collaborate and align global efforts. We look forward to the path ahead.”
