SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital Shared Highlights from 30th International Congress of Paediatric Oncohaematology

Barcelona Children’s Hospital Sant Joan de Déu shared a post on LinkedIn:

“We are delighted to have participated in the 30th International Congress of Paediatric Oncohaematology, a benchmark meeting in the Latin American region, organised by AMOHP from 2 to 5 July in Mexico.

Our specialists, Dr. Jaume Mora and Dr. Lucas Krauel, shared their experience in the approach to neuroblastoma, focusing on pre-surgical planning and comprehensive treatment of this tumor, the most common in children under 5 years of age. Dr. Krauel was also active in the pediatric oncological surgery group with presentations on planning in complex tumors and innovation in oncological surgery.

At the day dedicated to leukaemias, Dr Scott Howard gave a very well-received presentation: “News in ALL, what you have always wanted to ask”.

In addition, Dr. Guillermo Chantada gave a keynote lecture on Global Mapping in Childhood Cancer, analyzing the current situation in Latin America.

We thank AMOHP for organizing this meeting, giving us the opportunity to continue strengthening collaboration with professionals from all over the region. Events like this are key to advancing knowledge and improving diagnostic and treatment strategies that directly affect the survival and quality of life of our pediatric cancer patients.”
