Baheya Foundation hosts WHO EMRO Team to enhance breast cancer care in the EMRO region
“On Tuesday, 22nd of April, 2025, we hosted the World Health Organization’s Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (WHO EMRO) team, including Dr. Lamia Mahmoud, Regional adviser on NCD prevention and cancer control focal point, Dr. Mohamed Afifi, Regional Adviser for Women’s Health, Dr. Nahla Gafer, Adviser Palliative Care Consultant, and Dr. Heba AlSawahli, Consultant, meaningful Engagement of people living with NCDs.
It was a remarkable day, where we showcased Baheya achievements in relation to WHO Global Breast Cancer Initiative (GBCI), Baheya Psychological Support and Patient Navigation Program, and Research Center Activities, in attendance of Eng. Maged Hamdy, Board Member of Baheya Foundation, Dr. Jaylan Ahmed, CEO of Baheya Foundation, Dr. Mohamed Emara, CEO of Baheya Hospitals, Dr. Amgad Hashem, CEO of Baheya Haram Center, Dr. Maher Hassan, Head of Surgery Department, Dr. Amany Helal, Head of Oncology Department, Dr. Yomna Omara, Patient Navigation Program Manager, and Hanaa Serry, International Relations and Agreements Officer.
