This landmark international study of 4,752 young women with BRCA mutations delivers crucial evidence:
Women who knew their BRCA status before diagnosis:
- Had significantly smaller tumors (T1: 61.3% vs 32.4%)
- Showed less nodal involvement (65.9% vs 50.8%)
- Required less aggressive treatments
- Demonstrated better overall survival (HR: 0.61)
