Amil Družić: Continuing My ESO Supported Observership Journey at IEO

Amil Družić, Oncology and Radiotherapy Resident at the Clinical Center University of Sarajevo, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Continuing my European School of Oncology supported observership journey at IEO, a true home of oncology leadership.

In May, I had the privilege to visit the IEO European Institute of Oncology in Milan.

A special thank you goes to Prof. Barbara Jereczek-Fossa, President-elect of ESTRO, for her inspiring lecture and the opportunity to experience first-hand the incredible work of the Radiotherapy Department. My gratitude also goes to Dr. Giulia Marvaso and the whole team for their generosity and warm welcome.

IEO is not only a centre of excellence in patient care and innovation, but also the home of European oncology leadership, with Prof. Jereczek-Fossa (European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) President-elect) and Prof. Giuseppe Curigliano (ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology President-elect) shaping the future of radiation and medical oncology.

I left Milan with lasting impressions of the commitment, vision, and teamwork that drive progress at IEO.

My heartfelt thanks to the European School of Oncology (ESO) for making this opportunity possible.”
